Meghan Brown writes about dangerous women. Her work has been produced or developed at institutions across the country, including Lincoln Center, Victory Gardens, Portland Center Stage, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Getty Villa. She has written over a dozen full-length plays and musicals, including The Tasters (developed at JAW Playwrights Festival and IGNITION Festival of New Plays), What Happened While Hero Was Dead (developed at Moving Arts’ MADlab, Great Plains Theater Conference, and Ashland New Plays Festival), The Pliant Girls (Ovation Award winner), Cowboy Elektra (with Rogue Artists Ensemble, developed at Villa Theater Lab), and These Girls Have Demons (music by Sarah Taylor Ellis, developed at Pittsburgh CLO and Penn State). Meghan’s current projects include the astronaut murder mystery A Seam (developed in the Geffen Playhouse Writers’ Room), and a full-length VR narrative experience with musical artist Surrija and stealth start-up Haiba Labs.
