Overview
Attack! of the Killer Man from the Sun!, but make it snappy!  Here's your 30-minute version, perfect for festivals, competitions, or heck, you do you. Whatever you want it for.

Attack! of the Killer Man from the Sun! swoops into the catalogue as the over-the-top, deliciously self-aware comedy paying homage to the old, sci-fi B movies that the people deserve. A cast of thousands! A budget of dozens! You’ll laugh until you cry when you realize that the fate of the earth is no laughing until you’re crying matter. It’s Attack! of the Killer Man from the Sun!

Hot take:  if a certain parody about a magical, scarf-wearing boy and a certain play where nothing goes right had a tone baby, it's this.

Plot
When potentially deadly solar flares threaten to potentially end all life on earth as we know it, it is up to Lou, his wife, her often-times forgetful sister Susan, a bunch of scientists, a park ranger, two aliens, a few members of The Military Government Industry Organization, two teenagers, Lou's long-lost twin brother, and The Creature to potentially save the day. Or is it? (It is.) As the conflict grows and the comedy becomes evermore ridiculous, even the narrator is swept up in the action as our heroes try to quite possibly save the day...and themselves???

A NOTE ON CASTING:
While casting can reflect the pronouns as written, it is equally as appropriate for anyone to play any role. The Killer Man from the Sun can as fittingly be portrayed by a man as by a teenage girl or by a precocious non-binary child or by an extraordinarily-talented peach cobbler. Casting should best reflect the talents available and should be in service of the story being told. Doubling can easily make this a more manageable cast size, down to eight or ten actors by preference. An example of suggested doubling is listed in the script.
LOU ION
Just an ordinary, everyday scientist trying to save the world.
ANNE ION
Lou’s ordinary, everyday wife trying to help him save the world.
SUSAN SMITHS
Lou’s favorite-and-only-sister-in-law.
SCIENTIST #1
A man of science.
SCIENTIST #2
A woman of science.
RANGE PARKER
The Park Ranger.
ALIEN 1
An alien from Outside Space.
ALIEN 2
Also an alien from the same general vicinity.
THE KILLER MAN FROM THE SUN
