J Kyle Manzay is an acclaimed actor, writer, director, producer. J Kyle received his BFA from Howard University, and an MFA at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. He produced the Second Annual Soul Rep Theatre Company’s New Playwrights Festival at the Dallas Theater Center. J Kyle has received the Obie Award for Outstanding Performance and is a four-time AUDELCO nominee; most notably for his work in the post-Katrina inspired Waiting for Godot opposite Wendell Pierce. An accomplished Shakespearean actor, J Kyle has starred in Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, and played the title role in the Classical Theatre of Harlem’s critically acclaimed Hamlet. His film/tv work includes Law Order - SVU, CSI-NY, Treme, Little Manhattan, Brother to Brother, Single Hills, and the box office smash hit American Gangster opposite Denzel Washington.

J Kyle’s produced plays include include The Actor’s Rap (New York, D.C., & Chicago Hip-Hop Theatre Festivals; Off Broadway starring Vanessa Simons); Hip-Hop Monologues (Off-Broadway starring Jim Jones); For Vixens Who’ve Considered Homicide When the Video Was Enough (Off Broadway starring Melyssa Ford). He has also written and directed national tour of Two Can Play That Game (starring Vivica Fox & Carl Payne)  Set it Off - Live (starring the Da Brat & Leon); Redemption of a Dogg (starring Snoop Dogg & Tamar Braxton); and the upcoming B.A. P. S. - Live. Along with Ronve O’Daniel, J Kyle has written the book for the upcoming Once Upon a Rhyme: A Musical Tale, Greenwood the Musical, and We Love the Musical. J Kyle created the animation series It’s All Elementary, as well as several other TV and film projects in the works. Mr. Manzay has been a guest on Good Day New York, Hot 97 Morning Show, The Wendy Williams Radio Show, and featured in the New Yorker Magazine, New York Times, and XXL Magazine.
