Daniel Robert Sullivan's written works include Braving the Bronx River: A 23-Mile Kayak from Westchester to Rikers Island, Prospect High: Brooklyn, There's No Substitute for Empathy, Lockdown: Await Further Instructions, and Places Please: Becoming A Jersey Boy. He received a dual master's degree from the University of Missouri/Kansas City and three bachelor's degrees from the University of Rhode Island. Daniel is an actor, having appeared as Tommy DeVito in the hit musical Jersey Boys for more than 1000 performances and the national tours of Dear Evan Hansen and Motown the Musical. The New York Times referred to him as having "the seductive magnetism of a snake-oil salesman" and he is pretty sure he likes that description. Daniel maintains a home base in the Bronx, piecing together an artistic and sporadically stable life.
