## Overview

**When he loses out on the coveted role of Tiny Tim (the role he's played for the past four years), a child actor vows revenge on a community theater production of** ***A Christmas Carol.* ** A fatal audition voice crack demotes our anti-hero down to Turkey Boy, so he sets his sights on the child who stole his role.  But as he adjusts to the smaller, less essential part, he discovers that the new director is looking to change everything about this sacred hallowed production.  It’s not enough to ruin Tiny Tim anymore: he’s going to have to take over the whole entire show. The fate of American Theater—and the Spirit of Christmas—depend on it!
Playwright Weston Scott's deliciously dark, subversive comedy is a loving send-up of the holiday favorite, and the whole thing that is community theatre.  As Turkey Boy's quest for revenge spirals increasingly out of control, Scott gleefully skewers the tropes of Dickens' classic while sneaking in his own hilarious version of transformation and the Christmas spirit.

## Plot

On the first day of rehearsal, our child actor confides in his best friend Wendell that he’s going to ruin the actor playing Tiny Tim and take the part back.  When he sees the new Tiny Tim, it becomes clear that this child is impossibly cute and also a great actor.  Gradually, Turkey Boy sees the casting of Tiny Tim as only a symptom of a greater sickness: the new director, Adriana, has all kinds of ideas about updating the theater’s classic production of *A Christmas Carol*.  Turkey Boy decides it’s his job to keep the show exactly the same, because that’s what theater should be!
As Turkey Boy interferes with each step of the process, Adriana attempts to keep the show moving forward until Turkey Boy learns a key piece of information: Adriana is actually the new Tiny Tim’s mother, which is against the rules of the theater company!  Just before he can reveal it to the board, a disco ball from last season’s production of Mamma Mia falls on his head (a failed trap for Tiny Tim). Suddenly, he is thrust into a Christmas Carol of his own, where ghosts try to show him that theater just isn’t that big a deal and he needs to figure stuff out. When he comes to, he bows out of the production and keeps Adriana’s secret, because even an 11-year-old can have a Scrooge-like redemption story.
