Andy, the young man heading up the lab, happens to also be the donor of the cancer tissue. *Sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC): an extremely rare, poorly differentiated, and aggressive malignant cancer of the nasal cavity.* *SNUC* tells the true story of Andy Martin, the Tulane University med student as he fights against time, the elements, and his own disease in an attempt to preserve the research that just might lead to a breakthrough. *SNUC* was a [Eugene O’Neill Playwright’s Conference](https://www.theoneill.org/npc) semifinalist in 2017 and received a reading at [Naked Angels](https://www.nakedangels.com/) 1st Monday Reading Series in 2016. "*SNUC* is an engaging and powerful play about the struggles and uncertainties of being diagnosed with a rare disease. Mike DiSalvo's work is thought-provoking, funny and heartfelt; because he writes about real people." - [Hunter Foster](http://www.hunterfosterofficial.com/index.html), director ## Plot *SNUC* tells the true story of Andy Martin, a young man diagnosed with a form of cancer so rare that no research had been done on his particular strain. There were no numbers, no databases, no information. So, rather than put his affairs in order, Andy decided to accept admission to Tulane Medical School and perform that research himself—*on himself*. Research which was ultimately compromised by Hurricane Katrina and the flooding of the Tulane Campus. ## Cast | Name | Role | Description | | ---- | ---- | ---- | | ACTOR 1 | Principal | Andy Martin: early 30’s, Tulane medical student. | | ACTOR 2 | Principal | Kevin: Andy’s best friend and lab assistant.
