*Drunkle Vanya* is the classic tale of Uncle Vanya, but REALLY funny. And in a bar. And also sad and surprisingly moving. I don't know quite how to expl....just read it. This show is: irreverent. Tragic. Deliciously funny. Immersive. And somehow considering all that, **a powerful human experience.**
Warnings: there's a healthy dose of audience participation (just read the notes at the beginning of the script. You can do it.) and alcohol. But remember, it's theatre, so it's pretend. Make it water for all we care. Please don't break any laws.
*Drunkle Vanya:* because we all have busted families, filled with love and angst and booze. And that one crazy uncle...

## Plot

*Drunkle Vanya* tells the juicy story of a country visit where relationships are ruined, sadness is buried (clumsily), and lives are forever destroyed. In this deeply empathetic adaptation of the Chekhov’s groundbreaking play, the story and language are turned on their head with modern references and a series of ridiculous drinking games involving the audience.
